Braccialini bag / Blumarine scarf / Pinko belt / Kenzo ring
Andres Machado pumps
John Galliano is the designer of my pink newsprint jeans. The trendy faux newspaper print has become a reoccurring concept in John Galliano’s designs. John Galliano has had a long career, working as head designer for both Givency and Dior, but I’m happy that he’s come out with his own namesake line! He’s such a talented designer!
The jeans blazer with rolled up sleeves is by Robrto Cavalli Angels, and the pink stripped top is from the French brand Comptoir Des Cotonniers. My lovely floral scarf is from Blumarine; a brand that creates very romantic clothing and accessories for women. The hot pink shoulder bag that I wore with my outfit is by the amazing Italian purse brand, Braccialini. If you haven’t heard of Braccialini bags before, you’ve got to check them out! Their purse designs are high quality, and so unique! Plus, where else are you going to find handbags in the shape of vintage cars, animals, and houses?!
Appropriately, my bright pink belt with the word “PINKO” on the buckle is by an Italian brand named Pinko. The stacked charm bracelets I wore are from one of my favorite accessory brands, Swarovski. A friend of mine gave me the pretty butterfly brooch that I wore on my blazer, and the ring I had on is by Kenzo. The brooch and ring look as though they belong together, don’t you agree?
I wore a pair of turquoise pumps from Andres Machado to match my manicure, and some of the stripes on my Comptoir Des Cotonniers shirt. Pink and shades of aqua are so pretty together! Did you know that the word pink comes from the Latin word Roseus, which means “rosy” or “pink”? And the word turquoise is the Old French word for “Turkish”, because the turquoise mineral was first brought to Europe from Turkey. I guess what they say is true; you do learn something new every day!
