Hi Guys,
now the time has come for my travelogue. I wanted to go to Bali for quite some time, but I never cared abouit it, and this year I got the chance spontaneously
Bali is a Hindu island – so every home and business has its own temple – with its own rituals
I arrived in Kuta and stayed there the first few days. I didn’t like Kuta very much. Of course it is nice to have seen it, but I would not go there again – neither to Seminiyak and Legian. Kuta is really the Mallorca for Australians. Much too touristy for me … Everywhere is Fake Fashion and the Balinese try all the time to sell anything to you – they are very welcoming, friendly and cheerful But anyway… Get a little rest on the beach of the Indian Ocean? No chance!
After a few days my journey continued to Ubud. Ubud is a cultural city of Bali with many old temples. THe best wa to get there is to take a taxi by Blue Bird; you will arrive at your destination quick and safe The other taxis all tried to rip me – maybe there are other reputable taxis in Bali
I relied on Blue Bird whenever possible
I really liked Ubud, because of the beautiful old architecture of the city, and in particular because of Monkey Forest I love animals and where animals are, I’m happy instantly
Changeing a banana against a happy moment with monkey on your head is the perfect deal – for me and I think the monkeys, too
I would go to Ubud definitely again
Of course I also made trips to the surroundings of Ubud: to the Goa Gajah Temple, to Kintamani that overlooks the volcano Batur, to the thermal springs and the famous rice terraces of Tegallalang. Also, I have visited a cocoa and coffee plantation, and did meet some sweet friends Well, they see people every day
After a few days I traveled towards Lovina … But that’s another post
