I had a little DIY project this week… can you tell what is original and which is DIY?
Sometimes I have a piece of clothing or accessory and it’s just missing something. I cherish my wardrobe, so sometimes I will take a piece that is alright and turn it into something unique and fabulous. Fashion is all about having fun and finding your own style, so if you can’t find the piece that you are looking for, make your own or alter another piece you have.
That’s how I felt about these Moda di Faustosandals. They were simply golden but I just felt like something was off. I found these orange flowers that would be perfect with the sandals and voila! They are perfect and I’m officially in love. They also match my Braccialini bag perfectly!
The dress I’m wearing is a Jo No Fui dress. It’s a really beautiful fabric; this picture doesn’t do it justice. I paired it with a pair of nude Falke leggings to make it daytime friendly I love the way you can change the whole look of an outfit by adding a pair of leggings. These are almost a flesh color, so you get the effect of a bare leg but a little more modestly. Here’s a little tip – Did you know that a monochromatic look like this make you look taller. It’s a trick that stylists will use for their clients. Here’s another tip: A nude pump or one close to your skin tone will also give you the appearance of mile long legs. OK enough with the tips…
What do you think of the look?? Have you ever tackled a fashion DIY project – like adding sparkle or an embellishment to a piece of clothing in your closet? I would love to hear what you did! If you have never tackied a DIY fashion projects, I suggest you try it
