theBalm cosmetics are known for their girly, pinup inspired packaging. theBalm uses anti-aging ingredients in many of their skin care products. Currently theBalm sells everything from makeup, to nail polish and hair care products! theBalm’s products are easy to spot – just look for the cute packaging with the illustrated vintage vixens!
A friend gave me theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter on last christmas as a present:), and I really like it! :p Mary-Lou Manizer is a creamy pressed powder in a golden-champagne shade. The highlighter’s shimmering pigmentation is amazing! Unlike some highlighters that are really just sparkles, the Mary-Lou Manzier aka The Luminizer, has a pearly sheen to it. Plus the amount of powder you get from theBalm is much more than what most companies’ offer for the same price (or more!)
Mary-Lou Manzier is a cruelty-free product and does not contain Talc, Oil, or Paraben in its ingredients. The buttery soft powder feels weightless on your skin, and can be worn over top of your regular makeup without looking chalky. The formula used for theBalm’s Mary-Lou Manizer illuminating powder is gentle and works on dry skin, oily skin, and everything in between!
I like that the Mary-Lou Manizer powder can be used as a highlighter, a body shimmer, or an eyeshadow. Applying some of the highlighter to the cheeks brings light to the face, making the skin appear fresh and young. Using it on the brow bone brings out the eyes, and you can also dust it along your collar bone to bring attention to your neck and chest. The shimmering color lasts all day and is flattering on most skin tones!
