Taormina, Sicily

Hi Guys,

After four years, I finally visited again my friend in Noto, Sicily. I have already written about this beautiful city in one of my travel posts. Incidentally, the well-known blogger Chiara Feragni soon gets married there. Actually, Sicily is a small island and you should visit every small city there … Italy in itself is so beautiful and every city is so different and special. This time we took a trip to Taormina. I have heard about Taormina many times, but I never imagined that the city would be sooo beautiful. I really don’t have the words to describe it ….

Actually – the best way to get to know Taormina, is a walk through the narrow streets of the city. Especially well known and worth to see is the ancient theater with a view of Mount Etna. Unfortunately, this time I had no time for that … But I will visit the city sometimes again.

Taormina is over 200 meters above the sea and you can walk over stairs and roads untill to the beach. For the lazy there is also a small gondola.

The best view you will get from the Piazza IX Aprile, this is the observation deck of Taormina. On the other side of the square, you can admire the church of San Agostino and another landmark of Taormina, the Torre del Ál’Orologio. I can really recommend a visit to this beautiful little town!

My travel plans continue…. soon Dubai for 1 week in September and then at the end of October my biggest dream will finally come true – yes, I will fly to the Maldives
