The Saint Nicholas day is already in the past. We celebrate this day in Germany on Dec.6 like most cities and countries in Europe.
Saint Nicholas was a saint and Greek Bishop of Myra from the historic 4th-century. He was the patron of sailors, merchants, children, students….
Long time ago Nicholas was the prototype of Santa Claus. So on Dec.6 children were given gifts from his name. However, during the reformation, the day of delivery of gifts had been moved from Dec.6 to Dec.24 or 25 ….The Cristmas day!
Tradition is tradition… But anyway most of us in Europe get the gifts on both holidays
Especially me
And on this day I got one from my personal
Saint Nicholas, a cute furry beanie by Patrizia Pepe
Isn’t it cute?
Next stop is Christmas!
