I have always been a lover of travel. I have been to a number of places and I simply loved all the experiences. One particular place that has caught the attention of my heart is Rome Sure, I have already been in Italy, in the Northern part. I have visited Milan, Venice, Verona, Padua and other smaller cities on the Lake Garda. Also I nearly every year fly to Sicily, to visit my lovely friend and cousine
I love Rome! So much can be seen on the city’s claim of being ‘The Eternal City’. Well, early roman people thought that whatever happens to the rest of the world, Rome will still go on forever.
As a matter of fact, now I am at home, but until now, I still cannot get over the wonderful experience I had there
The day I arrived in the city, I explored its grandeur and solitary ambiance by simply walking around the city. Of course, I had some plans the next days, but I wanted to familiarize everything first. It was a good decision since I had the privilege of savoring the ‘Roman way’ of living. As I was walking, I smelled the warm aroma from a bakery, saw some handmade leather from a local craftsman, and of course, the pizza, the pasta and several other shops that make Rome famous. And of course I didn’t forget to do some shopping!
The next days, I visited the famous attractions of Rome: the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum. Then I visited Vatican City, Saint Peter’s Basilica, where I spent a few good hours. Then, I was at Castle of the Holy Angel I also spent time in Roman Forum and Palatin, and I can say that it is really worth a visit. There were several other attractions that I visited: the Pantheon, the Circus Maximus, Villa Borghese gardens . . .
And all I can say is that Rome is simply amazing!
