From Daytime to Broadway

Hi everyone!

In my post from today I’m still in New York, and these photos were taken when I was visiting Battery Park City. I got to see the Hudson River up close and personal – you can see the tall New Jersey buildings from across the water, it’s pretty amazing! I had a great time in Lower Manhattan, and later that evening I went to see a show on Broadway! The musical is called “Nice Work, If You Can Get It” and stars the talented Matthew Broderick as an upscale playboy

I knew that the outfit I wore to Manhattan, I had to wear during the daytime and also to the Broadway musical in the evening. I tried to coordinate an outfit that would be comfortable during the sunny spring day in New York, and would be chic enough for Broadway. My pumps from Pretty Small Shoes are an elegant nude color that looks great with just about any outfit! ( of course I had my ballerinas in my bag, too) The stone print pencil skirt from BCBG Max Azria I wore was bought in Munich last year, and the green shirt is from the brand Gotha. The snake print crossbody I styled with my outfit is by New York native, Michael Kors!

Being able to see a musical on Broadway was a dream come true! New York’s Broadway theatres have been around since the 1700’s and are famous worldwide. Many powerful people from around the globe have stopped to see shows on Broadway, and countless historical US events have happened on Broadway. At the Imperial Theatre where I saw “Nice Work, If You Can Get It”, the musical “Les Misérables” played from 1990 until 2003! What a treat it would have been to see the critically acclaimed “Les Misérables” live!

If you could see any show on Broadway, which one would it be? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to go back in time and watch a famous Shakesphere play or an opera, when Broadway was at its height?
