Ring – Violet under glass from NYC / Andres Machado shoes
How are you friends? Today I feel a little floral, feminine, and a little free spirited, can’t you tell by my outfit? I paired my floral Nanos shirt with a Nolita Pocket skirt and Missoni belt. Doesn’t it scream flower power? I love it! I know you can’t see it too well from the pictures, but my ring is a dried violet that was covered in glass. So pretty, so feminine and is perfect with this outfit… It also comes from my first visit the city of my dreams – New York City… I could get lost there. I love how you can walk two blocks in either direction and it’s like an entirely different world – but it’s all in one tiny island.
You can start at Lower Manhattan where it is calm with these little villages- Little Italy, Greenwich Village, Tribeca. You will find communities of artists and families, and it almost feels like a small town when you walk the streets… then you get to mid town and it’s crazy and bustling – flashing lights, Broadway shows, and Time Square. Another twenty blocks and you have central park with its beauty and tranquility surrounded by some of New York City’s most expensive homes and boutiques.
Do you pick up pieces along your travels? Sometimes I feel like a bit of a collector. I find pieces along the way in my travels and they become a part of my wardrobe. When I look in my closet at some of the pieces I have picked up along the way, I am instantly taken back to a place I traveled or a friend that gave it to me and it makes me smile
What is something special that you have picked up on your travels that you just can’t live without? For me it’s this ring
Have a great day friends!
